Doro is a small but useful tool that allows you to convert any file to PDF. It does not work as a standalone application; it is added to the printers list so it can be activated from any application. Once Doro PDF Writer is selected, a dialog box appears giving you the possibility to add some information details and encrypt the output PDF file by using 128-bit encryption method. If you select an existing file as the output, you will get a message box asking you whether you want to overwrite or append the PDF file.
Since it is installed, Doro automatically detects your computer's language settings. So, when its dialog's box is shown, all the options are displayed with the default computer's language, it supports: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Norwegian, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, and Polish.
The program has many configurable settings such as saving methods, date/time values, and more. The only disadvantage is that they can only be configured by editing the doro.ini file located where the application is installed, and the changes are done after the computer is restarted.
In short, Doro works well as an option if you want to reduce your paper waste, but also to have your documents in a readable, standard, and portable file format.
